A distraught woman has claimed chunks of her hair started falling out after spending $1,000 on extensions.

Tita, from New York, couldn’t have imagined the outcome, after a trip to the hair salon quickly turned into a nightmare.

The 25-year-old was on the verge of tears after the hairdresser charged her the equivalent of A$1,390 to put the extensions in her hair, only to have “the whole thing fall out” four days later.

“I hate my hair so much, I’m so angry,” Tita said in her TikTok Video titled “Hair Horror Story”.

“I can’t believe this lady charged me $1,000 for this extension monstrosity.

“Literal pieces are coming out.

“My hair is falling out. It destroyed my hair and the brand new extensions I got.

“At this point, I just don’t know what to do.”

When she contacted the hairdresser by text to ask for a refund, she says she never received a response.

In a follow-up video, Tita claimed her own hair fell out every time she touched her head.

“I’m literally bald and can’t even get a text back,” she said.

After failing to hear from him, Tita claimed that she decided to call the hairdresser on social media, but was ultimately blocked.

“I still haven’t been refunded my $1,000,” she said.

Tita said she had no choice but to involve her lawyer father by sending a legal letter to the hairdresser demanding his money back.

She says she never heard from her hairdresser again.

But in a latest update, Tita said another hairstylist contacted her to offer to replace her extensions for free.

“Through all the drama, there is good news,” she said.

“Another hairstylist saw my TikTok and felt so bad for what happened that he offered me free hair and installed it.

“I feel prettier and more confident than ever with my new hair extensions.

“I’m so happy. I can finally end this story.
